The Unleashed Blemished Volume 3 Ms Sarah Dalton Books Reviews
I'm an avid reader. The blemished series kept me engaged and wanting more. It was well worth the investment. Following Mina, Daniel and the other freaks was a journey of family, friendship, loyalty and love. I loved all 3 books
I highly recommend this series to anyone who not only enjoys a great story but the people who need to remember that the world isn't perfect. It never will be, but we need to keep fighting the good fight and trying our best to keep oppression from happening. It's up to us all.
This book was a great conclusion to the Blemished trilogy. The action is fast-paced and exciting. This third book splits the writing style between Mina, Daniel and Angela's perspectives.
In a society where everyone is categorized, all will have to come together in order to overthrow the GEM Ministry. While the story is predictable that Mina, the strongest of those with special abilities, well in the end win it all, I like that the author makes that happen naturally and innocently. In this book, Mina struggles with her abilities and learns the difference between using it in hate or in love.
Alright so I'm not big on writing reviews very often. But for this series I felt like I needed to. I loved this book -okay so the series in general. I've been with it since the very beginning and I have come to call these people my family (as I do with every series I read). During the first book I was a bit skeptical this is mostly because of the plot format (bit predictable) and well it just seemed like immature written. But I kept with it and by the end I was hooked. The second book had me addicted (need to read it guys!). And the third has left me completely distraught that there's not a fourth!!! I loved the unimaginable twists and turns. It kept me on my toes and surprised. Definitely a page turner!
Now I gave it 4 stars because well there is the occasional misspelled word or sentence error (but that was okay because it felt like in was playing the game of being editor) also I didn't necessarily like the way it had 3 different points of views because none of the other books did. So that messed me up. I understand why the author did it and it wasn't that bad once you got into the book but it was a bit irritating during the first part of the book.
Now with ever else aside I truly enjoyed it and encourage you to try the series. Seriously guys give it a try ( the whole series) because it's worth the time if you have a few minutes to spare. And I don't think you'll regret it.....because I sure didn't.
First and foremost, a thank you to the author for writing such a compelling series and doing so without gratuitous sex and profanity. The prose is so real and the scenes so vivid, it was like watching a movie play out in front of me. I hope it does get made into a trilogy for the theater. And I hope any potential producers, writers and directors are smart enough to stay true to the storyline and the characters. Their personal and collective stories are too riveting to deviate in any way from the way they were written. And thank you to BookBub and for making the first book free.
Tied up all loose ends, answered most questions. A little juvenile as far as writing, but then again it is a young adult series. I didn't like the switching characters perspectives at first since the other two books were only based from Mina's point of view, but I guess it worked to a point. The other character's dialogues seemed almost like a filler. Some of it was unnecessary and dragged on a bit, but it did usually pertain to the main storyline. I did like the book and the series (comparable to the Divergent series), but I think I liked this one a bit more because the writing gave the impression that the author wasn't tired of writing the story (unlike the last two disappointing sequels to Divergent). Not a perfect book, but definitely worth the read.
This third book in the Blemished trilogy has not been as exciting as the first two were. I have been working my way through it and am near to the end. I hope the end will be more exciting than the book has been so far. I feel like Ms Dalton was not quite sure what to do with this story herself and that might be why I have not become immersed in it the way I did with the first two books. In the first two books I felt like Mina and the "freaks" were special gifted young people and I wanted them to succeed and find the peace in life they sought. In this book it just seems like everything is going wrong and their lives are falling apart. So I hope at the end they are able to do what needs doing to accomplish a peaceful and rewarding end of the book.
This final installment was a...roller coaster, in the best way possible! It's as un-put-down-able as the first two installments. My suggestion is not to start this series at night if you have plans early the next day. You will stay up all night and have the best book hangover imaginable. SPOILER My only complaint is that I didn't feel like the ending was hashed out entirely and I was left with a few questions, but maybe that was intentional, to let you use your own imagination. No matter, though, still an amazing read. I can't believe I bought this series in 2013 and it just showed up in my purchases.
One of the better series of dystopian fiction genre. Good read, held my interest and the characters were wonderfully developed.
